i can't believe it's been a year since we left for Vegas. It seems like we were JUST trying to figure out how to get our asses out here. This whole experience has been completely amazing and I have been having the best time out here. Denny and I have grown closer and closer. The past is just getting farther and farther away. I think if we had stayed in MI, there would have been too many reminders of everything we went through. Plus the stress of dealing with family makes it difficult to focus on us.
Things I love about Vegas:
Our sweet, super cheap apartment
The great people we've met
Looking at the desert sky
Red Rock
My job
No snow!
Things that could be better:
The city is too small and claustrophobic
No ocean
No little cafes like LA
Shortage of affordable decent restaurants
The pros far outweigh the cons and I can see myself being happy here at least until I get my 5 years in with CCSD.
